Saw this advertised yesterday.
Apparently it was John Sullivan's next project before he died, his son and Paul Whitehouse doing the writing. Big fan of Whitehouse so hope he does a good job.
All the main characters will be in it.

As a general rule I don't like musicals...there are a few exceptions but not many I can think of off the top of my head...
Anyway, last year I got some free tickets to see "All or Nothing" the Small Faces musical - as I work on the south bank in the culture sector loads of tickets for stuff come my way.
Jesus fucking wept - it was a horrorshow...I wanted them to draw the curtains and call the police.
I had to go to The Coach and Horses in Soho afterwards to recharge my soul

I have no idea how anybody could sit through a musical. A musical film is bad enough, but who in their right mind would waste a trip to the theatre on such a vulgar and degraded genre?

ive been to a few. My Fair Lady was the best with Anthony Andrews in the Harrison role, Russ Abbott playing the Holloway part and Patsy Rowlands as Mrs Pearce :.)

Everything remotely decent has to have the joy milked out of it. Just leave it be. Nurse is right of course, musicals are the absolute dregs of entertainment.

a much better bet for the West End Theatre will be " All About Eve " - starring Gillian Anderson and Lily James. Also in the new year.
